- R. v. A.R. – importing heroin of 3kg stayed (similar to withdrawn) on the eve of trial due to the work done at the preliminary hearing.
- R. v. M.M. – multi-kilogram cocaine importing charges stayed on the even of trial due to advocacy in advance of trial.
- R. v D.H. – precedent setting case re: powers of search and seizure at the border.
- R. v T.W. – challenged the York Regional Police standard process for cautioning young persons before they gave a statement- pre-printed standard form declared invalid.
- R. v. D.M. – presumption of belief and mandatory minimum sentences in Child Luring prosecution declared unconstitutional by the trial judge.
- R. v. A.R.S. – ‘Ghomeshi laws’ modified after constitutional challenge to legislation.
- R. v. T.P. – law relating to conditional sentences clarified in Peel Region.
- R. v. C.H. – rulings on the law relating to the admissibility of horrific prosecution evidence and media access to highly inflammatory evidence.
- R. v. N.G. – ruling concerning the admissibility of prior demonstrably false allegations of sexual assault in a Sexual Assault prosecution.
- R. v R.D. – ruling regarding the disclosure of handler notes as first party disclosure in confidential information search warrant case.
- R. v J.Z. – ruling granting mistrial in relation to juror misconduct.
- R. v. J.Z. – ruling dismissing Crown application to re-litigate motions it lost in prior trial that resulted in mistrial.
- R. v. J.Z. – ruling granting directed verdict in Manslaughter/Assault Cause Bodily Harm case that offered a new perspective on the Sheppard test as being evaluated through the lens of judicial experience.
- R. v F.T. – ruling on unreasonable delay 11(b) application that considered police failure to execute an arrest warrant in another province within a reasonable period of time, while the accused was serving a sentence, leading to excessive delay. And a stay of proceedings.
- R. v. A.B. – accused charged with Firearm offences and a double shooting released on bail in part as a result of the conditions at the Toronto South Detention Centre.
