Brendan Coffey

Mr. Coffey is an associate with Weisberg Law Criminal Lawyers. Perfectly bilingual in both French and English, he is licensed to practice in Ontario and British Columbia. He has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, the Cour du Québec, and the Québec Court of Appeal. Mr. Coffey conducts both trials and appeals.

Mr. Coffey is a graduate of the Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where he played varsity football and was named an Academic All-Canadian. He mooted competitively and received both the Frank Carroll Scholarship and the Lenczer Slaght Moot award.

Mr. Coffey articled and worked as an associate with a well-respect firm in Ottawa. There, he defended and assisted senior counsel in defending a wide range of criminal offences.

He then worked for a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he defended regulatory charges before the Securities Commission, practiced civil litigation, and carried a criminal appellate practice.
