Mr. Weisberg is a graduate of the Queen’s University Faculty of Law and has been a criminal lawyer for over fifteen years. He was selected through a peer reviewed process by Best Lawyers for Criminal Defence.
Mr. Weisberg started his career at a national business law firm. He then practised with a highly regarded senior member of the criminal bar before becoming a partner at another well-known criminal firm.
The Law Society of Upper Canada recognized Mr. Weisberg’s expertise in criminal law when they deemed him a Specialist in Criminal Law. Mr. Weisberg is also a member of the Complex Case Rate Panel, a government initiative to keep leading counsel involved in complicated murder cases.
During his career, Mr. Weisberg has successfully defended allegations of homicide, sexual assault, domestic assault, drinking and driving, conspiracies, and fraud charges. Mr. Weisberg is tireless and his commitment to excellence is demonstrated by his track record of success.
Beyond just a criminal lawyer, Mr. Weisberg is also devoted to legal education. He has written papers, instructed at Continuing Legal Education events, and has been a guest instructor with the trial advocacy program at Queen’s Law.
Mr. Weisberg served two terms as a Toronto Area Director for the Criminal Lawyers’ Association before now serving as a Vice President of the organization.
