Brendan Coffey joined Weisberg Law Professional Corporation as a summer student in 2018. He is currently finishing his J.D. at Queen’s University, where he also obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science.

During his legal studies, Brendan has immersed himself in criminal law and developing skills as a zealous advocate. He recently competed in the prestigious Laskin constitutional moot, where he and his teammates won the prize for best factum and where Brendan ranked amongst the top oralists. Brendan has also been fortunate to have been taught criminal procedure, evidence, and sentencing by some of Canada’s top legal scholars, such as Don Stuart, Allan Manson, and Lisa Kerr. During his final academic year, Brendan will be working for the Community Advocacy and Legal Centre in Belleveille, as well as the Department of Justice in Ottawa.
